WELL Health-Safety: attained by all JTRE & 365.invest offices in Slovakia
The WELL Health-Safety Rating evaluates key aspects of promoting quality and healthy offices with the aim of supporting WELL facility users’ healthier lifestyles. The rating enables building owners and managers to adopt the prerequisite H&S measures for their employees and visitors. JTRE (leading Slovak developer) and 365.invest (Slovak market’s largest real estate fund) joint projects - such as River Park, Tower 115 and the Westend business zone - meet the WELL Health-Safety Rating, as do JTRE’s previous existing projects Klingerka Offices, Landererova 12, Pribinova 19 and Zuckermandel Offices (a certification record unmatched by any other developer in Slovakia). Office projects recently completed and under construction are also aiming for the rating.
The WELL Health-Safety Rating is an investment in a safe and healthy environment for users, enhances a building’s long-term value and attraction, and strengthens ESG’s social aspect. The rating’s award across JTRE’s property portfolio confirms the developer’s ability to meet international standards. This relates to the construction of new buildings in accordance with BREEAM and LEED, and the healthy and safe operation of existing buildings as per the demanding WELL Health-Safety Rating.
Marek Kremeň, CEO of EXERGY consulting
While LEED and BREEAM certifications focus on the quality of indoor environments, and mainly building sustainability and energy efficiency, WELL Health-Safety focuses exclusively on users’ health and satisfaction by assessing five core areas:
- cleaning and sanitization procedures,
- emergency preparedness programmes,
- health services resources,
- air and water quality management,
- stakeholder engagement and communication.
JTRE successfully fulfilled this strict criterion as the only developer on the Slovak market with a third-party verified office portfolio for sustainability (BREEAM and LEED) and H&S (WELL Health-Safety).
The Covid pandemic negative impacted over 50% of companies. To help companies get back on their feet, we rolled out WELL Health-Safety Rating at our buildings to increase employees’ confidence in workplace safety and give management a systematic preventative tool. The WELL Health-Safety symbol is displayed at our office buildings’ entrances to evidence the certification.
Martin Stohl, JTRE's ESG manager
A healthy interior workplace has ample fresh air circulation and filtration, high-quality running and maintenance, suitable acoustic and ergonomic solutions, and optimal lighting. These factors have been proven to increase employees’ productivity, focus and creativity, while also reducing rates of sickness, errors, and turnover. JTRE’s office projects have attractive features including rest zones, healthy eating, leisure activities, variable work spaces, greenery, reduced mobility accessibility, and sport/relaxation facilities: going above and beyond WELL requirements.
WELL Health-Safety certification affirms JTRE’s compelling commercial segment market position in Slovakia by delivering an innovative approach to the functional, eco-friendly and healthy use of buildings.
